Pancakes with Maple Syrup Recipe

These pancakes are light and fluffy, making them ideal for a weekend breakfast. Melted butter and vanilla extract are added for extra richness and flavor. Toppings are optional, but we recommend the classic maple syrup.

  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  • Mix the wet and dry ingredients together until just combined.
  • Melt butter in a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Pour the batter onto the skillet or griddle with a 1/4 cup measure and cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Cook for another minute, or until the pancake is golden brown.
  • Repeat with the rest of the batter.
  • Serve the pancakes immediately with maple syrup.
